History
GenGen was founded by Sam Gentle as a sole proprietorship in 1982 in New York, NY. To accommodate the growing clientele and expansion of services, the company was incorporated in 1986. Prior to opening the doors of GenGen, Sam perfected his accounting and auditing skills as a CPA/Auditor at one of the Big 8 accounting firms for several years.
Sam’s initial vision when he opened the doors at GenGen Corporation was to provide quality and professional accounting and tax preparation services to small-business owners, (i.e., the mom and pop establishments), local non-profit organizations, the West Indian and Caribbean ethnic communities, and those who sought his expertise and honest work ethic. His goal was to fill the void within this community by establishing a premier tax preparation and accounting firm that would provide quality and professional services to the people in the greater NY area, at affordable rates.
During the ensuing years the company was located in the Bronx and Pelham, New York. As a reflection of the quality and professional services provided, GenGen Corporation continues to expand its service offerings to meet the needs of their clients who are both nationally based and diverse in their business and personal requirements. To accommodate the expansion of services, and the growing clientele, GenGen Corporation relocated in December 2005 to its current location in Mount Vernon, New York. The firm has grown over the years to a regional accounting and tax preparation firm with clients in all 50 states.
In December 2006, GenGen Corporation expanded the service offerings to include financial services and wealth management. This expansion was made to better represent the broad range of services our clients needed and were requesting.
At GenGen Corporation, we are constantly expanding our services to meet the needs of our clients.
Our traditional services include tax preparation and planning, accounting, business management consultation, and litigation support. With our most recent expansion, we have added financial services and wealth management to our current list of services.
